To pee or not to pee. That is never the question. The answer is always pee.
Being pregnant is weird isn’t it?? I mean it’s such a magical time but also such a bullsh*t time. Like yeah it’s cool I’m creating a life but do I really have to give up my body and all the things I enjoy in life to do so??? Apparently that’s the trade off! When I found out I couldn’t enjoy some of my fave things for 9 long months (some even longer!) I quite literally cried. So many rules to follow to make sure this little one is safe and happy in there! Of all the things I haven’t been able to indulge in, here are the 5 things I miss the most!
5. Sushi- The weirdest thing about not being able to have something is that all of a sudden you want it ALL THE TIME! In my first trimester I swear all I wanted to eat was sushi and when I wasn’t pregnant, didn’t really care that much about sushi to be honest! Luckily I’ve still been able to indulge my cravings with the tempura shrimp rolls and the veggie rolls so it hasn’t been that dire. But I am looking forward to rolls upon rolls of delicious sushi when baby comes!
4. Advil Liquid Gels- Now this one was a doozy. I LOVVVEEEE ADVIL LIQUID GELS. When I got my first headache and realized I couldn’t have Advil, I actually thought I was going to die. ACTUALLY DIE! The funny thing (or not so funny thing) is, I think I was straight about addicted to these things! I was popping them like candy! Luckily I’ve had only a handful of headaches throughout my pregnancy, and although I’m able to take Tylenol, I just decided to try and not take any medication the whole pregnancy! I think it’s been great for me! I clearly needed a painkiller detox and now I don’t even miss them!
3.Guinness- Oh Guinness…. that sweet sweet velvety goodness. I thought for sure it would be the wine I would be missing, and don’t get me wrong, I would probably drink moonshine at this point! But it’s been the beer I’ve been missing the most! Especially in the summer when you just want a nice cold refreshing beer… great now my mouth is watering! I’ve already bought some specialty beers to enjoy when I can drink again! GIVE ME ALL THE BEEEEEEEEERRRR!
2. My cute body- Some women love being pregnant. Some women can embrace their new found curves and their bump. I’m not one of those women. The bump I can handle. What I can’t handle is the coating of cottage cheese cellulite that has decided to coat my entire body. Apparently my body needs these fat stores to prepare me for labor and birth. Here’s the thing though. I’ve always hated cottage cheese. On my body AND in my mouth.
1.Botox- And the number one thing I miss since being pregnant (though Guinness and my cute body were close) is Botox! What can I say! I freaking love a smooth forehead! I already feel ugly and fat, do I have to be wrinkly too?? As soon as it’s safe to do so, I’ll be getting that liquid gold injected again! Besides, after the baby is born, I’m going to try and apply for MILF status so a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!
