The 5 best things about blogging!
I’m going to be honest friends… this past week, I’ve been feeling pretty uninspired. Do you ever have those days when you want to give up and wonder why you’re even bothering pursuing something?? That’s how I’ve felt lately, so last night, I sat down and tried to brainstorm some blog post ideas. Again, nothing really inspired me (I think they call it a funk!) so I thought, let’s bring it back to basics. Why did I start blogging in the first place? What do I enjoy about it? How has it enriched my life? So here it is my friends… for you, but more importantly a reminder for ME… For when I’m feeling low and wanting to give up. The top 5 reasons I love blogging!

The free stuff! I’ll just get this one out of the way because I would be lying if I didn’t say this was a HUGE perk of blogging. When I started blogging, I didn’t even know this was a thing, and even if maybe subconsciously I did know this was a thing, never in a million years did I think I would be lucky enough to be chosen to represent these amazing companies! The fact that these brand trust me enough to represent them tells me I must be doing something right!
It’s an amazing hobby! Before I started blogging, I had zero hobbies. I mean it. Â ZERO (unless you consider trolling tinder and crushing candy hobbies) I was bored but felt unmotivated and unfulfilled. Blogging gave me a reason to connect with people and step out of my comfort zone and instead of feeling like I’m wasting my life away, I finally feel like I have some sort of a purpose!
I get to showcase my creativity! I knew I loved to write but I had forgotten how much I love to CREATE! Blogging is like putting together an art project in a way and there is something satisfying about watching something come to life from start to finish! From planning the outfits, to shooting the photos, to editing, to writing, to coding, to sharing on social media, it’s fun to make something you can be proud of and try to find a way to be unique and stand out from the crowd!Â
I get to pretend to be a model! Yes I know this is maybe a little vain, but I always wanted to be a model! I absolutely LOVE putting outfits together. Being able to style gorgeous looks and then prance around and smile for the camera is all this 5 foot 2 inch girl could ever dream of!
Last but not least, I got to meet all of you! I had no idea the blogging community was such a little loving family!  Just connecting with all of you inspiring ladies ALONE makes blogging more than worth it! The encouragement and support I’ve received from all the other amazing boss babes from around the world is so much more than I could ever put into words!

(Among the unbelievable people I’ve had the pleasure of connecting with is the amazing, talented, patient Rory Coomey. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without him and couldn’t be happier to be able to call this superstar photographer my friend.)
You are doing a great job! Keep it up!
Great post Kyla, love your honesty. I feel exactly same way about blogging at times but then I don’t want to give it up as I love fashion so much. I love to inspire other women with my daily outfits and freebies do help 🙂
Happy Sunday beautiful, thanks for sharing !

i could relate, there are times I’m feeling inspired, but I need to publish something. This is weird but when that happens, I sleep all day, and the next day I’m ready. Or I binge with movies for inspiratiobs.
Kyla! You’re so gorgeous and I love that dress and the colorful wall in your featured image so much! So perfect <3 I love that I get to meet so many wonderful individuals through blogging as well, and represent companies that I love! Lovely post hun. Hope you had a great weekend xo, sharon

I love your list! I enjoy blogging because writing has always kept me sane. I also love to “meet” other people.
I agree. I’ve been blogging for about eight years and have met my best friends doing this, even though I’ve never actually met any of them in person. I find it all very rewarding!
Great post Kyla. I enjoy how down to earth and likeable you are. I would like to start a blog too, but right now my life is completely boring. I’ll live through you for now.
I loved reading this, Kyla. Keep blogging, girl!
That’s the beauty about blogging, sometimes you feel uninspired sometimes you just need to sit back remember why you started blogging
Love your hair and all your dresses. You are lucky that you get to see all these cool places.
Great reasons Kyla! I too struggle getting motivated with my massive to-do list, but then do one step at a time and enjoy the ride.
Big woot woot for the 5 foot 2 girls lol.
I’ve been feeling the same way I moved all my site things over to a domain and then realized I had not posted material in months and bam this week 3 busted out just like that lol .
Haha good for you! I hope I can find some motivation soon!
The pictures are great. Keep up the good work. The connections are the best.
Yes! I’ve been bitten by the unmotivation bug. It sucks but it will pass. Keep doing what you love!
I totally agree with you. I got into blogging because I needed to have one to complete the campaigns for free stuff that I was getting. But then it kind of evolved into something else. Sometimes I get burnt out and have to force myself to come up with interesting topics, but if I’m talking about something I really enjoy, the words just flow out of me. Lovely post!
I agree with you and I love the way you share your information and tell your story. Your pictures looks really wonderful. I have met some great people since I started and I am almost one year in!
LOVE this! and oh my word the photos are gorgeous, that first one with the multi-coloured wall (which I’m going to have to find for some blog photos too!) is fabulous! There are certainly days when I feel uninspired too but when I get those posts up I’m always so happy. Loved this post! great work!

I’m so glad I found blogging when I did. I really love it and can honestly say, even with it’s low points I couldn’t be without it now.
Lol, I’m working on the free stuff component. I’ve definitely enjoyed building and finding a community though. I’ve learned SO much in the beginning of my second year blogging. It’s important to still have FUN with it.
I think my favourite part about blogging is writing and sharing things I love and things that would potentially help someone else <3 Plus, being creative, of course! There is so much work that goes into each post. I am also SO THANKFUL for all the lovely people I met through blogging, including you, lovely. It's such a great community!!! 🙂
