A blogger and a mural… how cliche right??? You know what, if liking murals is wrong, I don’t want to be right! I didn’t even think I liked murals and now I can spot one from a mile away! Luckily I live in a city with a plethora of murals. So come with me, won’t you. Let me take you on a magical little tour of Vancouver and show you some of my favorite murals in this beautiful city of mine! (P.S. I know this isn’t the most exciting blog post ever but I’ve been having writer’s block and this was the best I could come up with! Cut me some slack will ya!?)
My first and probably favorite mural is the rainbow wall on Granville Street. I take this route to work and the rainbow wall always cheers me up. Why? Because it’s a freaking rainbow wall! Look at it!
Oh look! Another rainbow wall! Can you believe I didn’t even know this one existed until a few days ago? It’s fabulous and it’s on the side of a paint store which is kind of amazing if you think about it! All these murals are just in random little back alleys and on the sides of businesses. It’s like little surprises at every twist and turn!
Look at this random mural! Isn’t it neat? It’s off of Main Street (where most of the murals are!) I love the symmetry of it and the bright colors. Plus it has pink in it. Enough said.
And this last mural is a new addition! The recently added this to the side of the Denny’s a couple of blocks from my house. And helllllo who doesn’t love Denny’s? But I just love how it’s brightened up the neighborhood. With Vancouver having rain for months on end, can you blame me for enjoying these little rays of sunshine through out the city??
